Susan Zelinsky
Susan Zelinsky is a singer from the Bay Area (San Francisco) though she lived and was raised in Carpinteria, CA. She was born on August 28, 1967 to Michael Zelinsky and Linda Anderson and after a split, she lived with her mother in Carpinteria and visited her father in the Bay Area. She attended the American Conservatory Theater (ACT,) Young Conservatory in San Francisco, as well as studying acting at Jean Shelton Actor's Lab at Shelton Studios in Los Angeles. She studied Shakespeare and theater at The College of Marin and was a recipient of the Robin Williams Scholarship Award.
Zelinsky is a versatile and talented performer known for her remarkable contributions to both the theatrical and music worlds, Susan has built a career that spans several decades, showcasing her skills as an actress, singer, songwriter, musician, musical theater director, and teacher.
Zelinsky started her entertainment career in the late 1980s with early roles in classic theater productions like "A Christmas Carol" at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and "Brigadoon" with the Mountain Play Association in Marin County. She continued to shine on stage with standout performances as Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady," Marian in "The Music Man," and Velma Von Tussle in "Hairspray." Her role as M'Lynn in "Steel Magnolias" earned her critical praise and a San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for Best Actress in a Play.
