Adrian George Zmed was born on March 14, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, US, to George Zmed (a Romanian Orthodox priest) and Sadie Golub.
Zmed attended the Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago, IL, US.
Zmed was married thrice. He had two sons, Zach and Dylan, from his first marriage, and his second marriage to Susan Wood ended. He is currently married to Lyssa Lynne (2012) and they live in Calabasas, CA.
