Did anyone see this? I totally missed it.
Ray Park who was the physical presence of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace plays twin vampires in Slayer. The production was a remake and update of the cheesy 80's film Hawk the Slayer and premiered on the Sci-Fi channel on July 8th.
John Terry played the original Hawk, if anyone remember the poster he's dressed a bit like Han Solo.
Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) also starred.
Park's also playing a security guard in the film Fanboys.

I remember Hawk the Slayer! I saw it when it first came out! Some of my friends incorporated the movie events into their Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
Thanks for the blog entry! I am somewhat sad that I missed it, but I will try to catch it next time it airs or when it comes out on DVD.

Wow - I caught the end of Slayer, and never made the connection.
Hawk the Slayer was one of the posters on my wall when I was a confused adolescent (along with Barbarian Queen, Flesh and Blood and The Emerald Forest - go figure).
John Terry was great - if there are any Lost fans reading this, he now plays Dr. Christian Shepherd (and will next be seen in Fincher's Zodiac).

Oh my god...so do I! I'm getting a head rush from the number of memories (crappy and otherwise) I'm recalling from my childhood. My brother and I (one of them, anyway) watched this movie like a million times way back when. I did not know about this. I'll have to check it out. Crazy!!!
