 George Lucas Comes Up Roses |
In case some of you didn't know already:
Our dear Flanneled One was named Grand Marshall of the Tournament of Roses Parade today, finally.

PS - Lucas also made a record contribution to his former Alma mater, it was announced today. Read about it here. (
PS² - Oh, Don't forget that there are two SW inspired floats in the parade too! Ewok themed and Naboo themed. And that there will be 200 uniformed Stormtroopers from the 501st representing 20 countries.

Isn't it thrilling! For once, I'm going to watch the parade!!!!
It made the front page of one of our newspaper sections on Tuesday. At least the editors sometimes get the news right!

I told my son Thomas about it when I found out that Star Wars would be a part of the parade. He's twelve, and we watch the saga from time to time together. I'm glad GL was picked as Grand Marshall. I think it's fitting.

I may just make a trip to the parade myself. It's been at least 10 years since I saw the Rose Parade.
