Leah, when you sketch like that, are you looking at a pic of the object your drawing or do you go from memory? They are all good, and I love the sketch of the Rancor!

Wow, those are terrific! On average, how long do these take you? Seems like you've got something new at least every week.
Since I stink at facial features, I stick to clones and the Fetts. And, since I don't have an art program, I'm stuck with pencil..but it's what I'm best at. I'm currently working on Boba.

Leah, when you sketch like that, are you looking at a pic of the object your drawing or do you go from memory?
I use photo referencing, I'm primarily a realist so it's essential for me to have references which reflect that.
On average, how long do these take you?
A lot depends on the drawing itself, the smaller card-sized sketches take an hour or so (detail), the simple sketch of the Rancor may take a little longer. I fit them between commissions. I draw all the time so it's easy to schedule a little time for practicing the pop-culture stuff.

Inara is probably my favorite of the bunch with River coming in a close second. That's such a classic Wash pose though

I've tried my best to stay away from that, I have to admit to using that maybe once here ...for shame. Though I'm not sure I'd list that as one of the best things about the blog itself hehe, but I know what you mean.
